My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Drawing on somatic psychology, attachment theory, and existential and person-centred frameworks, I work with what's happening in your body, your relationships, and your lived experience — not just what's happening in your head. This is therapy that meets you as a whole person.
Whether you're dealing with trauma that lives in your body, anxiety that won't respond to logic, relationships that keep following the same painful patterns, or a sense that something deeper needs attention — I can help.
I wanted to bring my practice to Yarraville because this area deserves access to the kind of somatic, relational psychotherapy that's hard to find outside the inner north.
Yarraville is also more connected than ever. With the Metro Tunnel now open, clients from across Melbourne — from the northern suburbs to the southeast — can reach Yarraville easily by train. And for those in Seddon, Footscray, Spotswood, Newport, and Williamstown, it's right on your doorstep.
I also practice from Kyneton in the Macedon Ranges and online — so wherever you are, there's a way to work together.
Therapy that works beneath the surface — for the challenges that don't respond to quick fixes.
Body-based approaches to release what words alone can't reach. Drawing on Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Including complex and developmental trauma. Gentle, paced work with your nervous system — not re-living the past.
When worry lives in your chest, not just your thoughts. Somatic and relational approaches to finding genuine calm.
Understanding the patterns you learned early and creating healthier ways of connecting.
Reconnecting with meaning, energy and aliveness when everything feels flat or heavy.
Career shifts, relocation, identity questions, existential crossroads. Navigating change with support.
Most psychology practices in Melbourne's west offer CBT or other structured, short-term approaches. These can be helpful — but they're not the only way, and they're not always enough.
What I offer is different. My work is relational, meaning the therapeutic relationship itself is a vehicle for healing. It's somatic, meaning we pay attention to what your body is telling us — the tension in your shoulders, the knot in your stomach, the way your breath changes when we touch on something important. And it goes beneath the surface — we don't just manage symptoms, we explore what's underneath them.
My somatic approach draws from Somatic Experiencing (developed by Peter Levine) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (developed by Pat Ogden), alongside integrative trauma treatment approaches. This body-based orientation is particularly effective for people whose distress shows up physically, or who haven't found lasting relief through purely cognitive approaches.
I may be a good fit if you:
Have tried therapy before but felt like something was missing
Want to work with your body as well as your mind
Are looking for longer-term, open-ended therapeutic work
Have used your Medicare psychology sessions and want to continue
Value a warm, authentic therapeutic relationship over clinical distance
