Quality therapy shouldn't depend on what you can afford out of pocket.

If you're an NDIS participant looking for psychotherapy in the Macedon Ranges or Melbourne, you've found the right place. I offer the same integrative, somatic, and trauma-informed therapy to NDIS-funded clients as I do to everyone who walks through my door.
NDIS funding changes how your sessions are paid for — it doesn't change what happens in the room. You receive the same depth of care, the same relational attunement, and the same commitment to your growth.
I work with adults whose NDIS plans include Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living funding for therapeutic supports. Whether you're navigating the aftermath of trauma, managing anxiety or depression, working through relational difficulties, or building emotional regulation skills, psychotherapy can be a powerful part of your support team.
Sessions run for 50 minutes, weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs and your plan's funding. We work together to build your capacity — that's the NDIS language — but what that really means is helping you develop a stronger, more resilient relationship with yourself and the world around you.
My approach draws on somatic psychotherapy, attachment theory, and emotionally focused work. We don't just talk about problems — we work with your body, your nervous system, and the relational patterns that shape how you move through life.
Practically, this might mean:
Navigating NDIS can feel complex. Here's what you need to know.
Psychotherapy sits under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living (Category 15). Your NDIS plan needs to include funding for therapeutic supports in this category. If you're unsure whether your plan covers it, your plan manager or support coordinator can check.
If your plan is managed by a plan management provider, invoices go directly to them after each session. You don't need to handle any payments yourself. I'll establish a service agreement with your plan manager before we begin, so billing is seamless from your first session. Plan-managed participants can access any provider — you don't need to use a registered NDIS provider.
If you self-manage your NDIS plan, you pay the session fee and claim reimbursement through the NDIS portal. Self-managed participants can also choose any provider. I provide detailed invoices with the correct NDIS line items and your plan details, making claims straightforward.
Individual sessions are $156 for 50 minutes, within NDIS price limits for counsellor-provided therapeutic supports. No gap payment required.
The process is straightforward:
If you're not sure whether your plan covers psychotherapy, get in touch anyway. I can help you work out what's available, or point you in the right direction if I'm not the right fit.
Psychotherapy falls under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living (Category 15). The specific line item is Therapeutic Supports — Counsellor (15_056_0128_1_3). Your plan needs to include funding in this category. If you're unsure, your plan manager or support coordinator can check for you.
No GP referral is required. You need an active NDIS plan with Capacity Building funding that includes therapeutic supports. A service agreement is established between you (or your plan manager) and my practice before sessions begin.
No. The therapy is identical. You receive the same integrative, somatic, trauma-informed psychotherapy as private-pay clients. The only difference is the billing pathway. I don't offer a reduced or modified service for NDIS participants.
If your current plan doesn't include Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living, you can request it at your next plan review. A letter of support from your GP, psychiatrist, or support coordinator explaining the clinical benefit of psychotherapy can strengthen this request. I'm happy to provide clinical input to support your case if you're already a client.
Yes. NDIS-funded sessions are available in person (Kyneton or Yarraville) or online via video call. Online sessions use the same NDIS line item and rate. Many NDIS participants find online sessions work well, especially if travel is a barrier.
NDIS cancellation policy requires a minimum of 2 clear business days' notice. Cancellations with less notice or no-shows may be charged at the full session rate, in line with NDIS pricing rules. This applies to all NDIS participants. Life happens — if you need to reschedule, just let me know with enough notice.
Yes. My practice is at 29 High Street in Kyneton, centrally located for NDIS participants across the Macedon Ranges — including Woodend, Gisborne, Mount Macedon, Riddells Creek, Malmsbury, Castlemaine, and Trentham. I also offer sessions in Yarraville and online across Australia.
I work somatically, relationally, and integratively — drawing on Somatic Experiencing, attachment theory, and emotionally focused approaches. I believe good therapy builds your capacity to live more fully, not dependency on a therapist.
I work under clinical supervision with Dr Tra-ill Dowie PhD (dual PhDs in Philosophy and Psychiatry), ensuring the highest standards of care and ethical practice.
